Great College Counseling and Guidance Service; creates a guidance service plan within the integrity of education and training considering the individual differences, interests, abilities and aspirations of the students.

With the awareness that family cooperation and support is important on behalf of our service, cooperation with parents and individual family interviews are our priority.

Our specialists working at different levels of our service plan the activities during the year in line with the developmental characteristics and needs of children. Club service and school council election activities will be carried out during the year.

In our school, “Values ​​Education” is held every year regarding the values ​​determined.

The working principle is based on mutual trust, solidarity and positive communication between the school administration, teachers, family and psychological counselor. For this purpose, seminars and trainings are organized both to support the personal development of our students and to support the needs and personal development of our parents and teachers. These seminars are planned according to the needs of experts in our own team or with the invitation of different experts.

The Great College Guidance and Psychological Counseling Service is actively involved in the student admission process. Experts in our team play an important role in interviews and family interviews of prospective students.

Preschool Counseling and Guidance Service

Preventive and developmental guidance in our preschool students includes activities to monitor and support their cognitive, emotional and social development.

At the beginning of the year, we start to get acquainted with the family interviews and inform the students about the school process. This process is supported by in-class student observations, individual interviews and collaboration with the classroom teacher. In order to get to know the students better and to provide preventive guidance, our parent meetings continue throughout the year in a supportive manner.

The adaptation studies that are applied to all students in the process of school adaptation of pre-school and first grade students are programmed. The school operation, which students who are interested in with the new registration during the year, is also transferred to them in order to ensure that the school adaptation processes are healthy. In addition, students who have difficulty in adapting to the school process are monitored and supported in private. Throughout the year, various activities and practices are carried out both in terms of social relations and emotional support. Various activities are carried out throughout the year in areas such as taking responsibility, awareness of special areas, empathy, coping with anger and friendship. Skills development activities are conducted for students or classes that need to be supported academically.

Marmara School Maturity Scale is applied to preschool students who will be 1st grade at the end of the year. During the year, individual observations, data obtained and the level of readiness that emerges in line with the scale are transferred to parents through parent-teacher interviews at the end of the year. The necessary guidance is provided for the students who have the areas to be supported until the beginning of the first year. Phonological awareness groups and children are working in line with the needs.

Primary School Psychological Counseling and Guidance Service

The primary aim of our Primary School Psychological Counseling and Guidance service is to support the problems that our students may face in their psychosocial, emotional and cognitive development by taking into consideration their developmental periods and individual differences. Our unit conducts guidance activities within the framework of certain gains in order to ensure that our students are self-confident generations who have good communication skills, respect individual differences, and express themselves well. Our Psychological Counseling and Guidance unit is intertwined with children and is always available.
