Multilingual Interrogation System Based on Memorization

In addition to the curriculum envisaged by the Ministry of National Education, an international multilingual inquiry program based on research and inquiry is applied in primary school classes. Instead of sorting and memorizing the information that needs to be learned, this program provides students with the opportunity to research and examine accurate and important information. In addition, it aims to raise international individuals who can express themselves effectively in the mother tongue as well as in modern languages ​​by creating a learning environment in which students and teachers question effectively.

A student who completes 4th year of primary school follows the rules of listening, reading, speaking and writing; understand and listen to what he / she reads and can establish meaning, express himself / herself in written and oral form, improve vocabulary, make visual presentations by reading, make listening, reading and writing according to genres, methods and techniques. Besides these fields, he / she knows the rules of grammar and reads and examines different types of books. Gains basic mathematical skills such as communication, problem solving, reasoning, association, generalization and acquires the ability to research, predict, discover, compare and learn new knowledge in order to develop these skills.

READING AND WRITING FESTIVAL
Reading Day is traditionally organized in the second half of each academic year in order to celebrate the joy of reading and writing of our freshmen. In addition to this challenging process, our students who successfully complete the marathon, but require great patience and effort, present the results of the activity courses included in the weekly course schedule to their families on this day. Dancing, ballet, basketball shows and orf drama performances of our students, both entertaining, entertaining and proudly make presentations. It is aimed to provide social behavior skills to the students of Büyük College through activities such as sports, dance, music and drama, cooperation, acting in groups and peer collaboration.

PORTFOLIO PRESENTATIONS

EUROPEAN LANGUAGE DAYS
The School organizes European Language Day activities on September 26th each year by the Department of Foreign Languages. During the day, students try to find answers to the questions prepared in our English, German, French and Spanish languages. At the end of the day, the correct answers are announced and the winning students receive small gifts. In order to increase the awareness of the importance of language learning, the students have a pleasant time all day long.
Hello to New Year
Every year, all of the alı New Year ”themed works carried out by our elementary school students in Ceramic, Technology and Design and Visual Arts classes are exhibited in school corridors and boards in accordance with the meaning and importance of the day. Our students perform performances such as dance, song, theater, etc. New year cookies are distributed and new year wishes are shared.
PLASTIC ARTS ANNUAL EXHIBITION
In our Culture and Arts week organized by our school, Plastic Arts is presented to the audience in June. In the exhibition works, paintings are made using different painting techniques such as gouache, dry paint, pastel painting. Still life, portrait, landscape and reproduction works based on matter and object. In the works, waste newspaper papers, wrapping paper, twine ropes and so on. waste materials and collage working technique are also applied. In the works of our little students, it is mainly composed of gouache, watercolor and grapon papers with different painting techniques. We teach how our students can use waste materials (recycling) in most of the works. In all the works done in the Visual Arts course, our students work in the ceramics and sculpture classes as relief, relief and three-dimensional sculpture. The works of the students who use waste materials such as ceramic, copper plate and wire in sculpture works are exhibited by gluing on chipboards in relief works. In addition, in our sculpture class, our students interpret the mask works by sculpting the mud masses in blocks with modeling pencils. We invite our contemporary Turkish painters to our exhibition every year. While our exhibition is transforming into a visual feast with our students who love and live in art, the concerts of our students who are devoted to music are spent in good time.
SPELLING BEE COMPETITION
Spelling Bee activities aim to improve students' pronunciation skills by using websites and visual materials. At the end of each academic year, a "Spelling Bee" competition is held. Participation in the competition; Dictation exams in English courses are determined as a result. The aim of the competition is to enable our students to learn and develop the words they will use throughout their lives in addition to their ability to say the letters of a word correctly and quickly. In addition, it is aimed to improve students' self-confidence, speaking and communication skills.
CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH EXAMS
Grade 2.3 and Grade 4 students take Cambridge English exams. Our students prepare for this exam intensively in our school. At the School of Foreign Languages, these exams are given to our students. In the exam, which is a practice of the speaking part of the Starters and Movers exam, our students have the opportunity to present their skills acquired in the English class in the exam format and to try themselves. In the commissions that our English teachers take part, students make speech attempts one by one. The results of the trial exam are shared with the students and parents through the results documents. Our Cambridge English Exam Center offers Cambridge English exams in May. Due to the outstanding achievements of our students, our school has achieved the distinctive school title.
DESTINATION IMAGINATION TOURNAMENT
Destination Imagination (DI) is an educational club where teams of students perform tasks involving open-ended problems and present their solutions in tournaments. DI is a program based on problem solving tasks and process. Teams that work to complete their tasks develop key life skills such as management, collaboration, troubleshooting, creative and critical thinking. Our teams that prepare for the competition represent our school in national or international tournaments applied by the school administration and club teachers.
MUSIC LISTS
In line with the student-centered understanding of art, which is in line with the passion of art, full support is given to the students who play instruments among the students of our school. Music concerts are organized in order to strengthen children's ties with art, to ensure that they spend time with music and art, and to become familiar with classical music especially from an early age. In addition to collective music activities, our students are also able to exhibit themselves individually. In addition to academic programs, our educational philosophy is enriched with music activities and performances throughout the year, and our students are also fed artfully.
ENGLISH DRAMA
Drama studies in English aim to enable our students to reinforce English by having fun and learning and to demonstrate their language skills. Our goal is to make our students love the art of theater and to strengthen their theater skills. Our main goal is to develop the skills of our students to work together, to make them happy and self-confident individuals, to ensure their self-confidence in expressing themselves verbally, to take tasks and responsibilities within the group, to develop their skills to use their body and sounds correctly and to learn to use gestures and gestures and creative thinking techniques. . In the English Drama Club, our children also learn songs in the second foreign language and sing them in their shows. Every year, at the end of the year, our students exhibit their show to all parents and school on the designated day.
SPRING FAIR
Every year, on the second Friday of May, the Great College Traditional Spring Fair is held. In addition to activities such as folk dances, dance performances, garden games at the fair, various participants can open a booth and students and parents can shop together. Primary school student clubs, on the other hand, are selling the products they design during the year or the books, toys, etc. they collect on behalf of the aid. The income is donated to a school in need or a charity designated as community service.
EXPERIMENT FESTIVAL
The traditional experimental festival, which we do every year, aims both to learn and have fun. The experimental festival encourages our students to succeed, to experience new experiences, and to learn hands-on with the experiments they perform in the laboratory course and to share what they have learned with others at the end of the year and to enjoy science. In our experimental festival, activities are held in our school, from our classes to our garden.
POETRY
Every year in March, şiir World Poetry Day ”activities are organized by 4th grade students. The poems they read together with their families, the different views of life and the different beauties of valuable poets are presented. The poem concert, which students participate with great enthusiasm and devotion, the strings that everyone adds and finds something from their own hearts, enliven the magic of love with dance and music.

PRIMARY SCHOOL MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION


In elementary school, students are assessed on the basis of efforts towards personal development, rather than on tests that require ranking. Instead of multiple-choice test applications, the answer is subjected to open-ended assessments where they can write the answer in their own sentences. Emphasis is placed on the ability of the students to comment on a topic and to take the learned knowledge and skills into action in daily life.
Achievement of students in primary school 1, 2 and 3; taking into account the level of development, teacher participation in the activities carried out under the guidance of the teaching and evaluation principles determined in the curriculum. It is shown on the report card as “very good”, “good” and meli improved ”.
Student achievement in 4th grade; exams and course activities. Primary school 4th grade term score, year-end score and year-end achievement score are determined over 100 full points.
Two grade exams are held for each course in the 4th grade. In Visual Arts, Music and Physical Education course, the student's work process and the products are evaluated with a grade. Exams and studies related to the performance of the student are evaluated over 100 full points. The evaluation results are written as points in the teacher transcripts.
Year-end score of a course is the arithmetic mean of the first and second semester scores. In calculating the arithmetic mean of the period scores, the division is carried out four steps after the comma. When calculating the year-end grade, fractions greater than half and more than half are increased.
The grade point average of all courses is 70.00-84.99, “Acknowledgments” and “Appreciation” certificate, if the average grade point average of all courses is not less than 55.00 in Turkish and 45.00 in each of the other courses.
Regardless of the success of the courses in all classes of primary education institutions; a) Participating in national and international competitions and entering the top five, b) Students who are successful in various social, cultural and artistic activities are rewarded with “Honor Certificate“. c) The Certificate of Honor is issued in accordance with the proposal of the class teacher in primary schools and the decision of the school administration.
Measurement and Evaluation Applications
At the beginning of the theme, the students are asked to investigate the concepts they are curious about.
Theme Evaluation Booklet prepared by R & D Unit is distributed at the beginning of the theme. This booklet is used for some necessary assessments within the theme. At the end of the theme, they are sent to the parents and asked to investigate.
Throughout the unit process, students are given the opportunity to evaluate themselves and their friends (with peer and self-assessments).
Course exit cards are used to evaluate the students about the given subjects and concepts.
The results of the evaluation at the end of the theme and the rubrics showing the degree to which the behaviors, attitudes and skills to be acquired during the theme process have been developed are shown in the end-of-theme reports.
In these reports, which are prepared separately for each student, subjects such as student's action status, class participation, homework making, contribution to class order, interest in class, respect to friends and relationships are also mentioned. These reports are sent to parents via Google Classroom at the end of the theme.

Students' course evaluations are evolving, well, very well evaluated. Informative explanations are made for the good and developing items and the parent is informed about the work done to complete and reinforce the deficiencies.
Parents are informed at the meetings or meetings with the parents through these reports.
Grades 3 and 4 are prepared for the second week readiness exam. The exam format consists of multiple-choice question items in order to read the exam in a short time.
Grades 2 and 3 are made in open-ended question format and the results are reported to the families in the end-of-theme assessment report.
